dude i play ball too and i’ve been training my vert like an idiot. thinkin im still young and nothing can bother me (im 20) ive recenetly got knee problems in both knees but a lot more in my left knee, im just resting it and icing it. however i did play basketball once briefly for 20 mins when i had little pain and that made it worse, so my advice is dont play if ur feeling any sort of pain. better to treat it early and strengthen your knee instead of going to the try outs. dont make it worse

I have been diagnosed with a tendonitis called oschloshlaughter or something like that. Anyway, what you do is pretty similar to what I have. I have had this for about 2 months and it was not so bad so I played sports. Yesterday I fell straight on the swelling and now when I walk I get tripped up and almost fall down. I have basketball tryouts in about 1 month. I am wondering if I ice my knee every night and stay off with of my knee with mild walking if ill be able to try out or if itwillbeworse

Thats probably your tendon.

Hey guys i can give you a hint: maybe your IT band is to tight. So your kneecap sits wrong which causes irritation. Search “How to fix knee pain” and you will find a method which works pretty good against a tight IT band. (After i stretched my IT band i dont have pain in my knee anymore) but i need to get it more loosen because the tightness comes back after a few hours. It will take 1-2 weeks to fix the pain

i tink so iamJROD but the sound and the pain started jz after i stopped running for few months coz i had meniscus repair surgery on the other knee…..wat shud i do?

Maybe you have chondromalacia,due to improper patellar tracking. The crunching sound is one of the symptoms.

hye guys…4 the past few months m having knee cap pain…and whenever i bend my knee under pressure or climb up stair there’s crunching sound from my knee cap…can any1 pls help me out?

I have a question so i have had knee pain before and my knee hurts on the side and on the top where you were showing and my knee pain came back about 2 weeks ago. and they did blood work 2 times and a MRI and nothing shows. so I was just wondering what to do so if you can write back that would be fab thank you

i have tendonitis, was told to rest for 12 weeks, with only some exercises to cure it? does it always take this long. very annoying injury to have!!

This is quite obvious information..given at a snails pace..YAWN, she’s boring.

Read into the benefits of fish oil, it’ll all make sense. I still have to tape my knees (patella compression bands) but I can weight train again, and I don’t wake up crippled anymore.

Also a longtime lacrosse player, I’ve had tendinitis in my right knee for 3 years and chronic tendinitis for 5 years in my left knee. I was forced out of the game last year, but I’ve since seen major improvement with 2 major changes. Daily stretches/yoga and taking a fish oil supplement. I’m using nutra-sea balanced EPA/DHA capsules. They taste like lemon, not fish! Try it out, it’s the only reason I’m back playing this year.
