WHAT A CROCK. Injections will only mask the swelling and pain. Strengthen the quadriceps to relieve stress on the patellar tendon. Stretch the IT bands and strengthen the hip abductors to ensure alignment of the patella. And do core work. Every muscle and tendon eventually comes back to your core. The most relief I felt from jumper’s knee came after I started yoga. It strengthens, stretches and aligns the core which aligns your entire musculatory function. INJECTIONS WILL NOT CURE THIS.

YOUR BEST ADVICE IS INJECTIONS? NICE 1 “DOC” lol

i got it when i was 10 and it still hurts today (im 12)

I’m a postman and i enjoy my job but i’ve had this for just under a year. It dosen’t seem to go away.

is this the same as osgoode schlatters? i was diagnosed with that…and im curious if i have this instead cuz i constantly jump/dunk/play basketball…reply to me in a message please

ive had this for about four months so far… do you think that i can treat right now.. or is it too late? please reply back.. i hav been playng basketball, tennis, running, long jump, and yeah..

i have it and it only starts to hurt after i do stuff like skateboarding it fine when im skateing but then when i rest it it starts to hurt then if i strech it or go skateing again then its fine again

I understand you very well, and I suffer as you do gytis5454, i have had this tendinopathy for about a year, and i find this pain so annoying and irritating. I started treating it early, thank god for that, so i never let my knee worsen. The problem is; whenever you rest, forget about you knee, start playing , and again start feeling that small located pain; it ruins your fucking day! It totally destroys every hope of recovering!!!

i just hate this fucking jumpers knee shit i cant parkour normaly i cant do aANYTHING this is such a shit i hate it !!!!!! so much ARGHH!!!!! you should see my angry face now OMG SHIT!!

I have the jumpers knee and I have the bump right under the kneecap. Ive had it for 9 years now (Im 20) it wasnt until I was about 14 that I quit all sports and all activity for over a year that it went down and got better. After the long rest I went to rehab stretching and building up the mucles in my theighs and now I am a pro/am snowboarder and all is good. I still have to ice the bump now and then after a hard day on the hill but the pain is gone and I feel alot better.

i suffered from tendonitis, but not as much anymore. i actually noticed when i worked out my legs more the pain was less, also i built up muscles in my theighs so the muscle from my calves dont put so much strain on my knee. that and icing whenever im done playin ball works wonders, b4 i couldnt even like sit in a place wit my legs bent for more than half n hour to now hardly feeling any pain

Iv’e had it for 3 years now, I play football(soccer).. More annoying than hurt really..

this pain is such a bitch! at least it only hurts after i play bball not in daily activities

Hey..I’ve had jumper’s knee for 9 months now. I just kept playing basketball and it got worse so I stoped playing and have been completely resting the injury for about 5 weeks now..lately there has been no pain at all so I hope to start rehabing soon. But I’ve tried it before and my knee could not take it so I don’t want to come back too early.. are you doing something special besides stretching to rehab your knee?

I have jumper’s knee and have gone to a doctor and physiotherapists. If you suffer from it you should start taking Ibuprofen (an anti-inflammatory), ice often, and fully rest. Stretching of the quads is crucial, such as wall-sits and squats.

not much of a remedy if you have to avoid doing what you love
